Biography
Insects play a vital role in our lives. Some insects support crop production, while others can damage our crops. Controlling crop-damaging insects is quite challenging. However, understanding their relationship with their host plants or crops is a crucial element of sustainable managemnet of these insects. The relationship can be mutualistic, antagonistic, and commensal. My goal is to understand how these interactions can be used to develop an integrated pest management approach that is economically sound, ecologically balanced, and locally appropriate. Integrated pest management is more than just pest control; its a way of life.
